How to Add a Technique

To add a new technique, please follow these steps:

1. Login if you haven't already, so you can edit pages.
2. Go the main page for techniques. First look to see if the technique in question is already in the list.
3. If the technique is not listed, click the Edit button to edit the list page. If it is listed, click on the technique link and skip to step 7.
4. At the bottom of the page, add a list item for the technique. It should look something like this:

   * [A4D-CircuitLibraries|When to use circuit libraries]

The text after the [ and before the | is the page name. Please use the prefix "A4D-" for Active4D and "OT-" for ObjectTools and replace spaces with "-" when naming pages. The text after the | and before the ] is the text you want to appear in the list.

1. Click Save to save the page.
2. You should see your new item with a dotted underline under the text. Click on the text.
3. An editor for the page will appear. Enter your technique, making sure to supply a description, sample code, and sample output. Please don't change what others have entered!
4. Use the Preview button to make sure the page looks the way you want, then click Save to save it. Done!
